Is ignorance holding you back? Say no to it!

Ignorance can indeed hold individuals back in various aspects of life. Ignorance refers to a lack of knowledge, understanding, or information about a particular subject or situation. When we are ignorant about something, we may:

1. Make poor decisions

2. Miss opportunities

3. Struggle with tasks or challenges

4. Fail to grow or improve

5. Experience fear or anxiety

6. Lack confidence

7. Feel stuck or stagnant

However, the good news is that ignorance can be addressed through:

1. Education

2. Learning

3. Asking questions

4. Seeking guidance

5. Exploring new experiences

6. Reading and research

7. Self-reflection

By acknowledging and addressing our areas of ignorance, we can gain new insights, develop new skills, and move forward in life. So, if you feel like ignorance is holding you back, take the first step towards learning and growth!

This article is for those who crave more out of life, those who aren't afraid to face uncomfortable truths.

Alright...

So here is the thing, dear, the world doesn't want you to know.

The world thrives on mass IGNORANCE.

If you knew how to turn trees into paper, you'd make your own pulp and never buy any.

If you knew how to plant cotton and process it into fine garments, you'd never need to pay anyone for clothing.

So, broadly speaking, the world as a whole thrives on collective ignorance, just in different shapes and forms.

My reason for starting this article like this is to get you comfortable with the word "ignorance." I'm ignorant of the things I don't know, and yes, so are you.

And what's jarring and hard to swallow is that ignorance can have far-reaching consequences.

It can affect how much money you make, your living conditions, the places you go, and even your reasons for religion/spirituality.

Ignorance is the greatest threat to anyone's individual sovereignty. It's the bridge that stands between you and economic security. Ignorance isn't just a disease; it's a cancer.

Let's take a breath for a minute; I'm going somewhere with this.

Ignorance is lethal.

By hiding important information from you, it completely eliminates your chances of benefiting from that information. Your fate is sealed.

For example, if I know you could send an email to a specific address and receive a $100 deposit in your account, by denying you access to this info, you remain in the dark. The chance of you receiving that money becomes zero.

But the consequences of ignorance can be far more severe than missing out on a financial opportunity.

It could cost you your freedom.

In the movie "12 Years a Slave," which tells the true story of Solomon Northup, we see the harrowing experience of a freeman who is suddenly kidnapped and enslaved.

In one scene, Solomon is sent on an errand to deliver a note. Mary Epps, his master's wife, notices his intelligence and questions him about his ability to read and write.

Fearful of the consequences, Solomon quickly denies any literacy, claiming to only be able to speak English. Mary sighs in relief because if Solomon knew how to write, he could one day write a letter to someone who could rescue him.

By denying him access to literacy, she helps seal his fate as a slave.

What am I saying here?

The gap between where you are now and where you want to be is information.

And nobody, realistically speaking, is going to hand it all to you on a platter.

That's why people pay for courses, masterminds, mentorships, networking, and attend events—to trade valuable information that will transform their lives.

In your field, you must seek out all the possible knowledge that can elevate your career.

It's your responsibility to SEEK.

As the Gospel writer Matthew puts it in Matthew 7:7-8:

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Bottom line:

If you don't ask, you don't get. If you don't seek, you don't find. If you don't knock, the door remains closed.

This is how the world works.

So, take a moment and think about your career, business, and ask yourself these questions:

How can I get to the top of my career?

What information do I need to access?

What skill is pivotal to my next level?

You've got to develop the ability to reduce the liabilities in your life caused by ignorance.

And in fact, that's what I strive to do every day...

Because I know that I'm one piece of information away from my next BIG break...

One thought... One idea... One skill... One piece of information... One meeting... One phone conversation... One encounter...

And then BOOM, your life flips over before your very eyes.

While it's unrealistic to know everything, it's possible to strive to maximize your potential in your area of calling.

This is the attitude I want you to embody, and watch yourself live out your best life.

So, take a moment and think:

What ONE piece of information could change my life today?

 Have a great week!
